Introduced in 2008, Jakobsson’s Ice Fruit is another portion snus manufactured by the folks at Gotlandssnus AB. Ice Fruit is classified as a regular type portion meaning that each portion goes thru an additional step in the manufacturing process to add moisture before packaging to bring out more flavor, faster. The material that Gotlandssnus uses for Jakobsson’s Ice Fruit is the same material that they use in all of their snus and is comfortable in the lip for over two hours. Jakobsson’s Ice Fruit has one of the most unique cans we’ve seen as well!
While it is made of plastic, it was designed to look like a ship’s compass, inside and out. Ice Fruit’s black can also does have a used portion compartment in the lid and the cover is cleverly hidden in the center of the compass! Each can contains 24, one gram portions and each portion contains 9 mg of Nicotine. Like all of Gotlandssnus brands, Jakobsson’s Ice Fruit has a mix of tobaccos from across the globe including Alida which is exclusively grown on the island of Gotland, Sweden!
Jakobsson’s Ice Fruit portion snus has been labeled, by some, as a “beginner’s snus” and for some pretty good reasons! One being the amount of Nicotine per portion is just above the standard for Swedish snus and perfect for those who want to use Swedish snus as a replacement for smoking. Another is the flavor! Ice Fruit has a unique flavor that combines Icy mint with a fruity element and a light tobacco taste that gives Jakobsson’s Ice Fruit a flavor that slightly sweet rather than salty! Seasoned snusers liken Ice Fruit’s flavor to a mix of red berries like strawberry, raspberry and blackberry with a shot of icy cool mint and tobacco. We think Jakobsson’s Ice Fruit is great for both the seasoned snusers and the beginner alike but we’ll let you decide!

This is actually really good. The Juicy Fruit impressions are right on, with a little mint thrown in. But not the mouth-inferno-inducing mint of General Wintergreen. A lot mellower. Good stuff.

I'd say this is probably my second favorite mint flavored snus out there (so far), with Catch Eucalyptus being my absolute fave mint. The mint is flavorful but strong, and the fruit tones are a nice change. A good recommendation for snus newbies out there who are huge fans of mint.

Love this product. Like many other American snusers, I started on Camel frost & mellow.... i thought I liked those strong sweet flavors, so I ordered the brands that were described as being "fruity". I was initially very disappointed, because the fruit flavors were SO subtle.
However, after working my way into the various cans I ordered, I am LOVING THEM! I tried the Camel stuff again, and find it disgustingly sweet, with not enough tobacco flavor or nicotine kick!
For other beginners, the "original" portion (not white) products like Jakobson's Ice fruit have a nice kick, tobacco flavor, and "hint" of fruitiness (which is what I discovered I really wanted all along, not a strong fruitiness).
Some of the whites: Roda Lacket, Goteborg's Rape #2, are also very nice, a little milder in flavor. I also love Gotland Green!
The ONLY products I'm disappointed by are the flavored Offroads and Thunders... they just don't taste natural enough.
As a quitting smoker, I'm finding i need more nicotine, so I have a shipment of various "strongs" on the way...But-- Roda Lacket, Goteborgs Rape #2, Jakobson's Ice Fruit, and Gotland Green will always be in my orders, and will always be around me: they are all so good that I couldn't imagine not being able to grab one at any time during the day.

I have tried alot of different snus' a few buds of mine we all buy new brands and have a snus sampling party while fishing, conversating or what not killing time. This was pretty tasty and a good snus for occasional Snus'n'.
I am also with hightechjunkie in the fact i am looking for a snus that is much like camel's frost in sweet factor and flavor.
I like something kinda candy like ,just like the camel frost to use on a daily basis while performing daily activities.The other snus' are great but a more relaxer for me . I have tried placing a Camel Frost pouch and the Thunder Extra Frosted new snus together and placing it under the lip its satisfiying but EXPENSIVE to use 2 at a time all day Knocking out 1 can of thunder and almost 2 cans of Camel frost b/c of the low 15 count pouch can.
Can someone help use find a Swedish snus much like the camel frost is it anything aimed at the Swedish ladies with lots of sweet flavor?

I am trying to quit smoking and decided to try Swedish snus after viewing the videos from Svandal(Confessions of a former smoker, quite smoking with snus 1-4) on YouTube. I tried the readily available USA ver sion(Camel Frost snus) and although I liked the taste alot it didn't have the nicotine kick I wanted/needed. So I tried a few different varieties from Northerner. This might have been the worst snus I have tried. I guess in America when something says it has a "fruit" flavor that's what I expect. How come almost ALL of the Wintergreen, Spearmint, Frost, Fruit or other Swedish made flavored snus' have almost no actual flavor??? There is not one Swedish snus that tastes anything like the Camel Frost sold here in the U.S. and I can't figure it out...lol. I want something that tastes GOOD and semi-sweet with just a hint of the actual tobacco flavor, not the other way around. Can anyone help me????

Very nice. As the other users said, the flavor is like well-chewed Wrigley's Juicy Fruit-- in a nice way. Decent tobacco flavor. I was not in a hurry to get rid of it.

I would never recomend this snus. The portions just gush with bitter juices I had to spit using this. and It was much more spit than dip. The taste was bitter and not minty

I tried this primarily based on the overwelming number of positive reviews and was honestly quite disappointed. Compared to a fruity snus like the Roda Lacket, this has virtually no fruit flavor and all I really tasted was the Ice-mint. The portion is quite soft so that was a redeeming quality but not enough to make me love it. I probably won't order this again considering I'm still forcing myself through the first can. Perhaps if you have never tried another snus, this would be good but compared to some other flavors on the market, this one just doesn't deliver. B-

I'm new to snusing and this is one of the first types I've tried so far and I'd say it's pretty good. I was hoping for more of a minty/fruity flavor but the flavor is actually quite subtle. I'm enjoying it though and will probably buy this kind again in the future.

This is tasty, but I feel it needs a bit more sweetness to bring out the fruity flavor, so I usually add a drop of stevia extract to the portion, which makes it perfect. The portion material is extra soft on this one as well. If you are looking for a strong tobacco flavor then this is not the snus for you, but if you want something fruity and refreshing give this a try.

I am not a big fan of this snus. It has a weird cold feeling the whole time it's in your lip. The flavor is just ok to me. It does kind of taste like a white gumball though. I didn't hate it, don't get me wrong, it is just something I wouldn't order again. The can however is pretty bad ass. 2.5 stars

I've found that all the mint snus seem to have a bit of a sour taste that comes out after 10 or 15 minutes. However, Ice Fruit isn't overwhelming in this sense. It has a very pleasant mouthfeel, the portion material is nice, and the mint feels good too. A new snuser might be interested in this. However the mint flavor is overwhelming at times, for better or worse. Many would say better.

A salty, unsweetened gumball. But I mean that in a good way.
I keep a can at work and at home. Something to look forward to and use once a day. Kindda like desert.

I had this as one of my starter flavors for minty snus and liked it. It tastes like wrigleys juicyfruit gum but more like after it has been chewed awhile. If you can get past the idea of the already been chewed gum flavor and appreciate some mintiness with fruit, you will like this. It's a nice mild snus for a starter.

Wonderfully fruity with a minty overtone. It reminds me of juicy fruit sort of. Overall, it's a excellent snus with high quality tobacco and a very pleasant flavor.

Not bad for a starter snus. Would recommend to those not into the strong tobacco flavor. Ice has a nice finish too.

As others have said, this is a great snus to have in your fridge once in a while. I found myself growing a little sick of the icy element after one can.

A very enjoyable flavor. mostly fruit with just enough icey flavor to it. And just enough tobacco flavor to know you have snus.

If you are looking for a flavored snus without too much tobacco taste I highly recommend this. A great starter snus. The closest comparison I can make to the flavor would be Juicy Fruit gum without the sweetness. Everyone I have let try this loves the taste.

This is like tutti fruity - like a Fruit Stripes gum thing going on here. You have to be in the mood for it. Definitely an overpowering fruit flavor - mixture of all sorts of fruity tones. Like a snus Slurpee or something. It was fun to try but not going to be a regular for me. Would get from time to time.
