Our Review

Made by JTI Sweden and launched in 2007, Level portion is another portion snus in the “Value Priced” family of Swedish snus. As you remember, if you’ve read our reviews on other “Value Priced” snus, low price does not mean low quality and Level portion upholds that mantra! Level’s portions are classified as regular type portions meaning that each one goes thru the additional step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to the portions prior to being packaged in the can. This allows the flavors in the snus to marry up better and release their flavors faster when they’re in your lip. The material that JTI uses for Level is the same teabag type material they use in all their portion snus and is comfortable in the lip for about an hour and a half. Each can of Level contains 24 portions that have just under one gram of snus each and the Nicotine level is 8 mg per portion. Level’s can is pretty basic being made of dark gray plastic with a metallic look and unfortunately there is no used portion compartment in the lid but, enough about the can, let’s take a look at the flavor.

JTI describes the flavor of Level as having a robust tobacco flavor and the scent of tea. What we taste is a portion snus with a rich tobacco flavor and a light black tea taste in the background. The scent in the can is of pure tobacco with very little of the ammonia smell that’s typical of Swedish snus. While there is a slight salty taste in Level, the tobacco and black tea flavors take center stage but are not overwhelming. We think that Level portion snus would make a great starter snus but would also be liked by seasoned snus users looking for a lighter tasting snus but, we’ll let you be the judge!

So, why not give Level portion snus by JTI a try and let us know what you think. You can always leave a review of your own and let others know what you taste. We’ll look forward to reading it!

I love Level, it's my everyday go-to like the reviewer below said. Not as smooth as some of the others but I like the plan tobacco taste, don't get any anise (which I also hate) out of it.

I'm somewhat of a novice at snus but from the kinds I've tried, this is one of my everyday favorites. To me, it tastes almost the same as General but has much better price. I'd say its number 2 or 3 on my list.

Hate it with a passion. The mix of bergamot and citrus and tobacco sounds good, but the mixture of flavors is all wrong for me. General beats the living daylights out of it. I also taste a hint of anise and I HATE it.
