What We Have To Say

Montecristo portion snus is a regular portion snus manufactured by the folks at Taboca AB. Montecristo is classified as a regular type portion since it goes thru the additional process in manufacturing that adds additional moisture to the portion before packaging to help the flavors in the snus marry together and bring the flavors out faster. Montecristo portion snus, just like the cigars, has only the finest Cuban tobacco in it along with clear mountain waters from Norway and is produced in Gotland, Sweden and is described as the “Champagne of snus” by those who have tried it! Each can of Montecristo has 24, one gram portions and each has 11 mg of Nicotine.

The portion material used in Montecristo is the same teabag type of material that Taboca uses in most of its portion snus and is pretty comfortable in the lip for over 2 hours. Just like the snus its self, the can is pretty unique as well! Although there is no used portion compartment, the entire outside of the metal can is painted in the traditional Montecristo colors and has a rubberized feel! The Montecristo logo is also on the lid making it look pretty elegant! But the taste is why you’re here so let’s look at that!

Montecristo’s flavor is truly unique! The slight peppery taste of the pure Cuban tobacco actually has a light sweetness that, when combined with the lemon/grapefruit (bergamot) flavor and slight saltiness, creates a flavor that confirms that Montecristo portion snus is defiantly the “Champagne of Snus”! The scent of Montecristo has another unique quality in the fact that when you open the can, all you smell is the great Cuban tobacco and bright citrus with no ammonia scent. But don’t take it from us, include a can or two in your next order and you be the judge! We encourage you to write your own review and let us know what your thoughts are about Montecristo portion snus. We look forward to reading your opinions!

A top quality snus. I find it to have a good nicotine hit with a real mellow tobacco flavour. A bit pricey but alternated with cheaper brands, worth it.

Very good snus. Similar to Taboca, so maybe try that first before kicking in the extra cash for this. The lös is better, if you're into that. Not really worth the hassle for those in the U.S.

For me the best snus. I like the dry portions, a middle course between white and ordinary snus. The flavour is great. It gets an A + !

Great tasting snus! The bag is quite dry and after a few cans you might feel that its damaging your gum, but if you have another brand to use between every 3 or 4 cans of Montecristo you are sorted. Great with a pint of Guiness or Murphys.
