Manufactured by Gajane, Oden’s Kanel (cinnamon) portion snus is classified as a regular type portion meaning that each portion goes thru a final step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to them before being packaged in the can. This additional moisture aids in marrying the flavors together and allows them to be released faster once it’s in the lip. The portion material that Gajane uses for Kanel is a soft, teabag type material that is pretty comfortable in the lip for over an hour and a half. Each can of Oden’s Kanel contains 24 portions that have just under one gram of snus each as well as 8 mg of Nicotine per portion. The can is made of black plastic with a plasticized label and the lid is embossed with the Oden’s logo but unfortunately, there is no used portion compartment in Oden’s Kanel’s can but you came here to read about the taste so, let’s take a look!
Oden’s Kanel is a cinnamon flavored snus but not like one would expect a cinnamon flavored snus to be. Some other snus manufacturers have attempted to make spice flavored snus and actually made cinnamon the predominant flavor. This is not true with Oden’s Kanel. What we taste is a smooth tobacco flavor, a bit of salt and hints of cinnamon in the background. While the cinnamon is in the background, it is noticeable but not overbearing. The tobacco flavor is a great combination of mild tobaccos and really matches well with the cinnamon and salt to create a savory cinnamon flavor as opposed to an overly sweet taste. It's a good snus to have with coffee, but for some reason, it hurts the insides of my gums. Not a burning sensation, but a physical ache inside my mouth. In fact, Oden Kanel may very well be the first snus I've tried that has been literally painful. I like the cinnamon flavor, but the nicotine hit may be too much for a lot of people to handle. Tread with caution.

Pure cinnamon and tobacco flavor. It's rather subtle, and not sweetened at all. Honestly though, the nicotine hit gets to be a bit much after a few minutes and the cinnamon flavor gets pretty nasty and bitter after a while. It's definitely not one of the best out there, but I may give the original Odens a shot.

Very subtle cinnamon. Has a pretty good kick. Not my favorite but a good change of pace.

Very coarse snus, witch is nice since they're hard to find. Nice subtle cinnamon flavour. It's almost like a "Grov" with cinnamon.

I tried this for the first time on my last order. I really enjoy this product. I was actually amazed at the cinnamon flavor. It is subtle, but that's all you need.
I agree that the portions are loose but that allows room to conform in your lip. A way to better hide the snus especially when you are in a long meeting.

When it comes to Extra Stark's this is among my favorites. Sure it doesn't really taste like cinnamon all that much, but it still is a pleasurable snus.

Doesn't burn considering the strength. The cinnamon doesn't hit you in the face, and neither does the nicotine. I actually found it kind of unremarkable, but it's not bad. The can's pretty rockin' though.

A good heavy meal/bottle of beer snus. Has a very heavy tobbacco taste, with just a hint of sweetness added to it. It's much like mixing cinnamon inside hamburger patties - sweet yes, but you're still eating a burger. Nice nic hit though. 3/5 for me, based on a lack of cin flavor.

I had more hope for this variety than what it was able to deliver. At first, my tastebuds didn't agree with the cinnamon claim. It took another to really adjust and then I started to get the cinnamon but this flavor doesn't last too long.

I Agree with Phillip about his review in all, although I give it a higher end result.
This snus is a bit on the loose side in each bag, it doesn't worry me as such but may not "feel right" under the lip if you are used to normal or bigger bad sizes. It appears to me that it may be a good step up for the mini bag consumer if they feel those mini bags have become too small. Just maybe, that is the intent by the producer.. to capture both markets with one product size?
I was positively surprised about the quality of the cinnamon. I expected an overpowering sugary cinnamon taste but was pleasantly met by a slightly sour, dusty cinnamon taste. Not at all overpowering and although, this is high in nicotine, doesn't leave the lip with a burning sensation like some of the other extra proof strength snus's out there.
In all, this one just barely scrape in on 4 stars..being a bit generous with an extra half star.... could have been a 4.5 star one to me if it had been packed with a bit more tobacco/filling in each bag.

Slightly sour. Subtle cinnamon. Not sweet.
Portions are a bit loose. not a lot of snus in there, which worries me because of the high nic content.
Overall a great idea, just a couple tweaks and this is one great snus. I'd easily pay more for it if they spent just a little more time on it. Been waiting for a cinnamon snus for a while. Good first try.
