Launched in 2009 by Gajane AB, Oden’s Licorice is classified as a regular type portion which means that each portion goes thru an additional step at the end of the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to them which aids the flavors in marrying together and releasing it faster when it’s in your lip. The material that Gajane uses in Oden’s licorice is a soft, teabag type material that is comfortable in the lip for about an hour and a half. Each can of Oden’s Licorice contains 24, one gram portions with each having 8 mg of Nicotine. The can its self is made of black plastic with a plasticized paper and foil label which gives it a classical look. Unfortunately, there is no used portion compartment in the embossed lid but, you’re here for the flavor, not the can so, let’s take a look!
Oden’s Licorice has a flavor that is true to its name. The black licorice taste is the main player here but it’s not as strong as you may think. While licorice flavors in general tend to be strong, to the point of being overpowering, Oden’s Licorice’s flavor is not. While the flavor is predominant, as the portion is in the lip for a bit (about 20 minutes), the flavor mellows out and a light tobacco flavor mixes in with the salt giving Oden’s Licorice another dimension. The light tobacco flavor mixes well with the licorice taste and adds an earthy element that’s really unique! Overall, we think that Oden’s Licorice portion snus would be great for the new snus user that wants to experience the taste of a licorice flavored snus due to its light flavor but, we’ll let you be the judge.

WOW!
This is the "stuff" like it says on your t-shirt.
I am an American heavy smoker who is tapering to snus. As I used to look forward to my cigarette, I am now looking forward to having that wonderful gritty bag in my gums.
In 10 days of snussing, I have just gone through 2 packs. 4 a day vs. 40! I smoke those first three in the morning and try a fourth and begin to retch... I always did and just continued to smoke regardless as I am pretty well hooked to nicotine, I must admit.
It has become a relief to brush my teeth and go to my fridge and choose a snus. I go the sampler and also ordered rolls of all of the strong Odens.
I enjoy them all, but the Licorice is just a mind blower. Who would have thought that a strong tobacco flavor mingled with licorice would be so satisfying? I really do not care for the candy version, but in this snus, it is a wonderful thing.
I usually start the day with a strong tobacco snus, Odens or Stark, but then in the afternoon or evening, I usually have one or two of these. Great lift-off and long lasting. Perfect for a treat or after a meal.

i love this kinda of snus, is good for an afterdinner dessert, it smell like licorice and it's taste is pretty deep but not quite persistant as i hoped.

The portion itself is PLUMP! It is unique in that Oden's portion is wide. The flavor- licorice is real. If you are looking for a kick this is a powerful snus.
I see some reviewers are talking about this is a snus for a Viking. Well, over here in Montana USA, this snus makes me want to Cowboy up. Shoot, loot, and ride.

If licorice is your thing - you've found a good accessory. I find the flavor to be very pleasant and strong - but it looses that pleasant licorice taste sooner than I'd like.

This my favourite snus, the snus of a real viking... Great nic kick and the smooth taste of licorice makes it a snus worth the Gods...

Oden´s snus... I don´t really know where to start. I have tried the extra stark liquorice and cinnamon; I have to say that it was one of the best snus ever. The power is really extreme and if you are a first time user I don´t really recommend that you try the Extra Stark one unless you want to faint or get high. I really couldn´t find any information on the manufacturer Gajane on there Webb site, but I did find out that they sell a cigarette called Tamar. Any way ladies and gentlemen i really do recommend Oden´s as a high quality snus.

When I first tried Oden's I was entirely unprepared for the experience. This is clearly a Snus intended for Vikings, and after trying a portion I was filled with the urge to
a. Rape
and
b. Pillage
I don't have the temperament for sex crimes and my small town has limited pillaging opportunities, so I unenthusiastically humped a telephone pole and stole a Fresca from a local convenience store. The cashier apparently witnessed my theft, and called the local police. A policeman arrived and asked me just what exactly I was doing. I introduced myself as Hrothgar, Scourge of the Wastes, and headbutted him in the chest. I have limited recollection of what followed, but I believe he called for backup and beat me mercilessly with his nightstick for several hours. I awoke beside the deer carcass the next morning.
Oden's Extra Stark Licorice has a rich licorice flavor, almost buttery to the pallet.
