What We Thought

Made in Denmark by V2 Tobacco, Offroad Apple portion snus is another uniquely flavored, regular type portion. Regular type meaning, that each portion goes thru an additional step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to each portion. This additional moisture helps the flavors in the snus marry together better as well allowing the flavor to be released faster in the lip. The material that V2 uses in Offroad Apple is the same soft teabag type material that they use in all of their snus and is pretty comfortable in the lip for over an hour and a half. Each can of Offroad Apple contains 24, one gram portions with 8 mg of Nicotine each. The can that Offroad Apple come in is made of black plastic with a plasticized label that seals the lid to the can well and keeps the portions moist until you open it. Now that you know the basics about Offroad Apple portion snus, let’s take a look at the taste!

One of the things that makes all of V2’s snus flavors differ from the rest is how uniquely flavored they all are and Offroad Apple’s flavor is no exception! While V2 describes Offroad Apple as having the flavor of Apple and tobacco, we taste other flavors as well. While there is a natural, fresh green apple flavor, there is a bit of sweet vanilla that mixes in as well. The typical salty element is there as well but it is in the background and mixes well with the other flavors. The tobacco flavor in Offroad Apple is just a hint and comes out as a light herbal taste but it is faint. Overall, we think that Offroad Apple portion snus would be perfect for the snus user that is looking for a portion that doesn’t have the traditional salty taste or the beginning snus user but, the choice is up to you!

So, why not give a can of Offroad Apple portion snus a try and leave a review of your own to let us know what you taste. We’ll be looking forward to reading it!

Hmm, doesn't smell like apple, doesn't taste like apple. I'm not quite sure what it tastes like, except salt, definitely a salt lick. I've tried the coffee/vanilla one as well, and wasn't impressed by it either. No more offroad for me.

The flavor is excellent, but only if you have two bags. And even then, it doesn't last longer than 15 minutes. This would be an excellent snus if it lasted longer and had more of a nicotine kick. Sad, seeing as to how there aren't any other apple flavored snus options out there.

This snus was okay nothing to write home about. As others said i did not taste apple at all in it. I don't know what the flavor was kinda nasty. But the nic was there. I'm pretty sure i won't ever order this snus again but i didn't dislike it enough to not try offroad again. one of my next orders will contain the cranberry one by offroad. I have already tried the skruf cranberry and kinda enjoyed it. The best nic kick i have had so far. this snus just left a funny taste in my mouth.

Very little flavor. Didn't even smell faintly like apple when the tin was first opened. Not only that, but the flavor it DID have was pretty nasty. I keep giving Offroad more chances, and they've disappointed me at every turn.

This is my first experience with Offroad and I can't say I'm overly impressed. It's not a bad Snus, but I was looking for a strong, fresh apple taste. I was disappointed to find the flavor was lacking a lot. I give it 3 stars, definitely not roll worthy, though I may buy another tin if I can warm up to it some more by the end of this one.

Almost everyone says they don't like this snus and I don't understand it. This is one of my favorites. It has a nice subtle fresh apple taste. To me it kind of tastes like a light apple tea with a very lite chocolate tobacco flavor behind it. It is very good. Good job V2. My guess is that the people who don't like it are the people who enjoyed the overbaringly sweet and fake apple flavor of apple skoal. 4.5 stars

I really didn't find the apple flavor to be all that great with this. It came across as more of a sour apple, at least after awhile. I was hoping for that natural sweetness you would get with a fresh apple or applejuice but it never came through. Only hints of apple and those hints tasting a bit sour.

Not up to par with others I have tried. The apple taste is there but the lasting power is pretty low. this is the only brand I know of on Northerner that has this flavor in a portion but unless you are really after an apple flavor, I wouldn't recommend this variety too highly.

I thought it was very flavorful, I enjoyed it a lot.

I really did not like this snus. There is little to no flavor and the character is almost gritty. I do not recommend this snus.
