What We Have To Say

Retro portion snus is another fine snus manufactured by the folks at Fiedler and Lundgren. Retro portion is classified as a regular portion meaning that each portion goes thru an additional step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit of additional moisture to the portion, prior to packaging, which helps the flavors to meld together and come out faster once in the lip. Each can of Retro portion snus contains 24, one gram portions with each having 8 mg of Nicotine. The material that’s used in Retro portion is the same, teabag type material that Fiedler and Lundgren uses in all their portion snus and is pretty comfortable in the lip for over 1 ½ hours. Retro portion’s can is made of black plastic with the top and bottom edges being beveled giving it a modernistic look and feel and yes, there is a used portion compartment in the lid. Now, let’s take a look at Retro’s flavor!

While Fiedler and Lundgren describe Retro’s flavor as having a mild tobacco fragrance and a distinct flavor of Rose Oil and salt, we, on the other hand, taste something completely different. While it’s true that Retro portion does indeed have a mild tobacco scent, it also has a flowery smell that can be attributed to the Rose Oil. The flavor though, is predominantly mild tobacco and salt. There is an herbal element that is pretty faint but there is also a slightly sweet flavor that plays well with the salty taste and helps to bring the herbal element out better. We think that if you’re looking for a portion snus that has a predominantly mild tobacco taste with a hint of herbs and salt, then Retro portion snus is the one but, we want you to be the judge!

So, why not add a can of Retro portion snus to your next order and let us know what you taste? Be sure to leave a review of your own and tell us what you think. We’ll be looking forward to reading your thoughts!

Average taste with a little bit of a kick, more or a nudge. Not bad, not great. I'd put this in the same class as Taboca or M by Mocca. Probably not something I'd seek out on a regular basis, but I could see others using it every day.

classed by some as a budget snus, retro has a clean long lasting tobacco taste with a subtle spicy flavour. its only downfall is the flavour its nothing spectacular or unique so wont get your taste buds all fired up. but this can actually work in its favor retro can easily become one of those long term snus for anyone wishing to get a few cans in reserve without the worry of suddenly finding their taste has shifted again

Another fine product from F&L, makers of Granit. Spicy tobacco taste, a nice zippy snus dose in portion.
