Skruf Tranbär (cranberry) Portion snus is a regular type portion snus made by the folks at Skruf AB. It’s classed as a regular portion because it goes thru an extra step, prior to being put in the can, which adds a bit more moisture to the portion to help bring out the flavor, faster. Each can of Skruf Tranbär has 24, 1 gram portions with 9 mg of Nicotine each. As in all Skruf snus, only the top and mid leafs of the tobacco are used which allow their snus to be naturally higher in Nicotine than its competitors.
The portion material Skruf uses in Tranbär is the same basic material that’s typically used in portion snus and is pretty comfortable in the lip, even after 2 hours! Skruf Tranbär’s all white can and plastic label, that makes a great seal between the lid and the bottom, does have the used portion compartment in the lid with the “Skruf” name embossed on the cap. So, how does it taste, you may ask? That may surprise you!
Skruf Tranbär (cranberry) has a complex flavor that differs from its scent. While the main flavor of Skruf Tranbär is very close to a lightly sweetened cranberry juice, its scent in the can is of a cranberry-banana type mix with little to no ammonia smell that’s typical with Swedish snus. Other flavors in Tranbär include a light tobacco, slight peppery background and a hint of banana. These flavors, along with the cranberry, make Skruf Tranbär a great tasting snus that’s as close to what Americans think cranberry snus should taste like! While the portion does stay comfortable in the lip for over 2 hours, we recommended a 1 ½ hour max due to the portion’s taste can go a bit bitter after that.

Good snus. A more synthetic flavor then say Rape 2. However the smell and taste are pleasant and reminscent of something I cant quite put my finger on. Im not a big flavored snus guy but this one was a pleasant suprise. Hardly any salt, the flavor is not overpowering in the least, and the nic hit was up to par.

Not a bad snus but for me it would'nt be something i want to use on a daily basis. Taste is not overtly sweet or powerful, decent nic kick. It's actualy somewhat similar to the american skoal berry blend pouches in terms of overall taste, but less candy like and portion material is of better quality. Does tend to drip more then the other swedish snus i've tried thus far but for me it was'nt a big negative.

This was the first Skruf I tried. If you're looking for a good cranberry snus, I'd go with Rape No.2. But if you like both that and the taste of Skruf, this is for you. It doesn't have the same nicotine kick as regular Skruf, however. I really don't see myself ordering more of this in the future.

This is one of the best kinds fruit-flaved snus I've tried. The cranberry taste is not very sweet or sour, but it is still recognizably cranberry, and it still lasts a long time. I wish it came in a white portion or strong portion variety, but just the same it's well-worth the money.

This is a good balanced snus. I agree that the cranberry is not too strong but just enough. A nice even Nicotine dose too.

This is one of my favorite snus. The taste is very natural and not over powering. I usually purchase multiple cans of this with every order.

it's good at the start. it's like a cranberry; tart but not sweet. soon it goes down hill. it tastes like white glue. like i licked twenty stamps.

just got this snus in. I'm new to snus quit smoking for snus. Much cheaper. This is a decent snus has a good nicotine kick to me. The flavor isn't really cranberry to me other than it is tart but i don't get any cran flavor really. Though i'm finding most do not seem to have much flavor to me. Maybee my taste buds are just dead from smoking so long. I dunno. But it definatly is tart. I may buy this again will have to try a few more out to decide.

I tried all brand and types for months.
Made a list with my personal best,baught only those and found out this is it:
This is my brand and type of snus!
I buy rolls of only this type and brand nowdays.
It's not salty, not more strong that i want it to be, and IMO has the best flavor and quality!
(Ok, General Onyx has the best snus-paper but it hasn't the flavour i like.
I simply love it.
Try to find your own special brand and type!

Not sure where the cranberry flavor is. I found this snus to lack cran flavor but completes your nicotine needs. Not a big fan, but flavor last a long time. Probably would not buy again.

Just got this Snus after reading various reviews. I haven't tried the Offroad Cran so I can't compare to that but so far it's not bad. I'm finding it very very mild. I get just a hint of cranberry which is perfect...but...I'm getting nothing else. No tobacco flavor. A bit disappointed as based on the reviews I expected to be wowed. All in all not bad though, just a bit bland.

I really like this snus. I was affraid to try it originally because I heard bad things. I am glad I tried it though. It has a mild cranberry flavor that is more tart than sweet. I couldn't use it all the time but I like having it around for when I want something different. 3.5 stars

Elsewhere on this site I've talked about my love of Skruf's original portions - especially the flavour. Well, once you've found you love a snus, you want to try out other types from the same stable. It was in this spirit that I put a can of Skruf Cranberry in my next order.
The cans are in the same bright white plastic, but with red trimmings instead of green. The portions, themselves, are also exactly the same. But you know, from the moment of opening the can, that this is not the same snus.
Suffice to say, the flavour - a synthetic, sickly berry flavour - is not to my liking. To be fair, for the first three or four portions it was quite nice, but I was soon wishing for the can to be over. The best way I can describe the flavour is - and I'm not sure if this will traverse international boundaries well - Hubba Bubba. But nasty.
Unless you really like flavoured snus, I'd stay well clear.
