Been forced to try non-nicotine alternatives due to the very strict customs rules in Australia.
Since I don't like portions, I was very happy to find a loose alternative in the tobacco-free category. XQ's does not taste as nice as the tobacco variants, but it is actually not too bad. The salmiak is a nice touch - not overwhelming like some licorice flavoured snuse products I have tried. The overall taste is that of herbs (black tea) and salt.
XQ is very 'sticky' - you won't have any problems 'baking' it. It is also a bit rougher than, say, General, so expect a sore lip ;)
When I am out of nicotine snus, XQ gets me by - I would recommend it to anyone who wants to quit tobacco snus or who can't get a hold of it...
-- As a sidenote - Australian Customs stopped my order of 5 tins of XQ, wanting around $100 tax on it. Idiots... I had to argue long and hard to convince them there is no tobacco in the product (nor in the "water in which it is made").
